The latest release from Drift Into Black, When Ashes Remain, represents the band\u2019s most ambitious and diverse work to date.<\/div>\n

Conceptually, the album continues the story introduced on 2021\u2019s Patterns of Light, which followed a deaf and mute girl who witnesses her mother\u2019s murder at the hands of her stepfather and her journey toward retribution. Her spirit now watches over a young boy suffering through abuse of his own, offering solace and protection as their stories become intertwined.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The character is once again brought to life by NYC artist ALYXX, whose vocals have appeared across the band\u2019s past three albums, adding a cinematic and theatrical dimension to the storytelling.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Additional guest musicians include William Smith (Reeking Aura, Buckshot Facelift) on vocals and Semir \u00d6zerkan (Nevermore, Oceans of Slumber, Necrofier) on guitars.<\/div>\n
